Here's what to expect when visiting Vessel Kids for the first time:
How does check-in work?
CHECK-IN
When you arrive, you can head to the auditorium doors where check-in for our Vessel Kids begins 15 minutes before service. There we will walk you through our check-in process. Upon checking in for the first time we will ask for some personal information. NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone:
parent's/guardian's name
phone number
child's name
birthdate
grade
any special instructions (allergies, special needs, etc.).
At check-in, your child will receive a name tag and you will receive a security label with a code that corresponds to their name tag. You'll want to keep this safe since you will need to present this security label at check-out. At this point you and yours are free to go ahead and enter the auditorium for service!
DROP OFF
Vessel Kids & Youth will be dismissed after musical worship. At that time you can walk your little ones to the back of the auditorium where our volunteers are waiting to walk your kids to their classroom.
CHECK-OUT
After service, you can pick up your kids at their respective classroom. When you pick up your child, we will check your parent security label against your child's name tag. For the security of your child, we can only allow a check-out to a parent/guardian with a matching security label.
You will not receive a security label when checking-in your Vessel Youth. They will we released by their classroom volunteers to meet you after the service.
What about safety?
SECURE AREA
We value the safety and security of your kids! Only Vessel Kids' staff, background-checked volunteers, and parents are allowed in our classrooms during service.
DIAPER CHANGES & RESTROOM
If a diaper change is needed parents will be called to the classroom. School age kids will be accompanied by our volunteers to a restroom designated for Vessel Kids.
Will there be snacks?
We know kids love snacks! We offer water, and snacks like animal crackers|Goldfish.
Feel free to bring a separate snack for your child to eat during snack time if they are allergic to the snacks we provide. If your child has any severe food allergies, please notify the volunteers at check-in.
What if my child is feeling ill?
We desire to maintain a healthy environment for Vessel Kids and volunteers.
Our policy is simple: if your kids are sick, please keep them at home. Here’s what we mean by sick:
Temperature of 100 degrees or higher in the last 24 hours • Vomiting • Diarrhea • Severe Coughing • green|yellow nasal drainage • Pink eye • Head lice • Undiagnosed rash • Any contagious illness.
Emergency Procedure
In the case of an evacuation, all children will be taken to the grass field of Arcadia Christian School with their classroom volunteers. To insure all children are safe, children’s check-out will happen from the field, not from our building.
